SIXTY years ago, Arundel was horrified by the murder of a London woman at Box Copse in Arundel Park.
Joan Woodhouse (25), a librarian at University Library in London, was raped and strangled on July 31, during a day out in the town, although her body was not found until 10 days later.

Her friend, Lena Bamber, who lives in Derbyshire, has thanked Arundel people for remembering Joan in their prayers and asked them to say a special prayer on this significant anniversary of her death.
