WITH petrol prices so expensive at the moment Malcolm Lamming is doing his bit on his eco-friendly push bike.
Mr Lamming (42) of Woodlands Close, Angmering, said: "I use it maybe twice a week when I'm in the country to do the 60 mile round trip to go to work in Portsmouth."

He bought the US-made Lightning F40 in Germany three years ago at a cost of around £4,000.

Mr Lamming, who works as an engineering manager, said: "I cruise it at about 30mph on nice flat pieces of road."

He said it took about an hour and 20 minutes to get to work adding: "I've always cycled to work – it's a very effective of getting the exercise. You're going to spend that time travelling anyway why not kill two birds with one."
