Massive £130m revamp plans for two college sites

CHICHESTER College has unveiled its £130million redevelopment plans that will create two 'world-class campuses'.
The projects will see £100million ploughed into the Chichester campus and £30million invested in the college's Brinsbury site at North Heath near Pulborough.
Dr Richard Parker, the college's principal, said: "We are delighted with the plans, developed by our architects, Hawkins Brown, to create world-class campuses with buildings designed for the 21st century, where the latest technology and teaching facilities are available to staff and students.
"Chichester College attracts students from across Sussex, the UK and worldwide. To continue to be so successful we need to offer all our students an outstanding learning environment. This redevelopment enables us to do this."
The college has submitted an application in principle for funding support to the Learning and Skills Council for both projects and expects to have a decision on this in the autumn.
The college is due to submit planning applications in the autumn and to start preparatory work next summer.
