Strong views both for and against eco-town

THE proposed eco-town at Ford has sparked a fair amount of criticism throughout Arun.
The promoters say an eco-town would address the need for affordable housing in the district and provide solutions to the social, economic and environmental issues that face Arun and future generations. But campaigners against the plans say 'good idea, wrong place'.


As the Government considers the shortlisted locations, the West Sussex Gazette asked the Ford Airfield Vision Group (FAVG) and Communities Against Ford Eco-Town (Cafe) to put their views for and against the scheme.
