The credit crunch holds no fear for student Luke Haas - he is hoping to become an internet millionaire.
The University Centre Hastings computing student is hoping to sell all one million pixels of advertising space on his weblog or blog - http://haastek.co.uk to pay off his £10,000 student debts and fund the rest of his course.

Luke, 20, said up to 50 people a day read his musings on technology, science, films and comedy.

"A large proportion of those are followers of the blog, or people who have found it through Google," the Little Common resident said.

"This is the first blog to have this feature. Recently search engine www.boogami.com started selling pixels and has now sold over 50,000.

"And a couple of years ago there was the Million Dollar Homepage. That got quite a lot of press coverage, and they managed to sell all the pixels on the site.

"My friends haev all said that it's a good idea, and wished me good luck. I'm trying to get publicity for it, and I've been emailing the companies that have advertised on Boogami."

The feature took Luke around a week to set up, and he is offering for sale a minimum of 100 pixels at a time.

He said: "Maybe I won't become a millionaire, but it would be nice to sell a few."
