A town centre pub is holding a weekend of live music to raise cash for a local charity.
The Clarence, in Middle Street near the Town Hall, is putting on three days of live bands to help raise funds for the Association of Carers.

First up, on Friday August 15 at 9.30pm are The Kosmic Dogs. Then, the following day, there will be a barbecue from midday followed by the weekend's second band, T-Chest Blues, coming on stage at 9.30pm.

Last but not least on Sunday The Clarence welcomes Jonny Eden, from 8pm.

The pub's landlord Glen Conway decided to do something to help the local charity after hearing of the work the group does providing respite care for carers.

Not only has Mr Conway agreed to host the live music, he has also agreed to run the Hastings Marathon in December in aid of the charity.

If you would like to sponsor him please either pop in to see him in The Clarence or call Jo at the Association of Carers on 01424 722309.

Alternatively contact the group through their new website at www.associationofcarers.org.uk.
