THREE local men with a head for heights will be attempting the Three Peaks Challenge on Friday to raise money for St Michael's Hospice.
The intrepid trio are marketing manager Chris Allen, 29, and homeopath and travel agent Nick Griffith, 28, both from Hastings, plus tree surgeon Matt Williams, 29, from Westfield.

The Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the highest mountains i
n England, Scotland and Wales - Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis and Snowdon - within 24 hours.

Those who successfully complete the task will have walked 26 miles overall and ascended 9,700 feet in total.

Matt said: "To climb three mountains in 24 hours including the travelling is certainly a challenge. I love outdoor activities and I have been increasing my strength and stamina recently with a rigorous exercise plan that includes swimming, walking and using the gym regularly."

The three men, who are all very sporty, chose the local hospice in St Leonards as the charity they would collect sponsorship for.

Said Nick: "We wanted to do something that will also benefit other people. I have always thought St Michael's Hospice is a fantastic local charity and the work that the staff do is absolutely invaluable to the people who are admitted to the hospice and their families."

Sponsoring the fundraisers are Tim Oliver and Associate, Axis Elevators Ltd, Janet Sinden and Co, Westfieldtrees, Chambers jewellers, and Lamberhurst Engineering.
