A THREE-month-old baby died after what friends and relatives are calling a 'tragic accident' involving his pushchair.
11-week-old Thomas Chant died on Monday July 7.
Mum Abby Chant, 20, from Trefoil Close, Broadfield, is devastated following the terrible accident last week.
The local Broadfield community as well as family and friends have rallied round the young mum who has another two-year-old daughter.
On Wednesday, July 16, scores of friends and family will run a fundraising 'Thomas Run' around Broadfield Barton and up to Crawley Town Football Club.
Around 50 runners will be meeting at Broadfield Community Centre at 1pm (Wednesday) hoping to raise as much money as possible for the devastated Chant family.
Close family friends, Kelly Dumper and Melanie Crowder, have set up a Facebook event group called 'The Thomas Run' where people can confirm they are attending the run.

On the Facebook site, Abby's sister Natalie Chant said: "you will never be forgot love you loads my angel!!!!!"

The Imperial Pub, Broadfield, held a Hawaiian themed night on Saturday (July 12) and raised a generous £80 in an impromptu whip round.
Bar manager Lee Arratoon said: "It such a tragedy what's happened to Tom but I think it's incredibly heart warming how everyone has pulled together. It goes to show the great community spirit around here."
Somerfield, in Broadfield Barton, have donated refreshment vouchers for Wednesday's remembrance run around the Barton.
A spokeswoman for Sussex Police said they were investigating the incident alongside the NHS and West Sussex Social Services.
The spokeswoman added: "The infant was taken to East Surrey Hospital at about 9.15am on Monday July 7, by ambulance, after a call from the child's distraught mother. He was pronounced dead a short time later."
DI Nick May, Crawley CID, said: "This tragic incident is being investigated by child protection officers from Crawley police, who will be working closely with colleagues from the NHS and West Sussex Social Services.
"We are trying to establish why this very young child died. We will be following the multi-agency guidelines for all deaths of children. We do not regard the death as suspicious.
"The mother's GP's surgery and the health visiting service will be supporting her during this very difficult time. She also has excellent family support."
