TEENS nearly derailed a commuter train at Three Bridges Station after they hurled a bike on the tracks.
Early reports from witnesses at the station suggest that the bike was dragged for nearly quarter of a mile by the train.

The Observer understands that no one was injured by the incident.

A spokeswoman for British Transport Police said: "Two youths threw the bike on to the track at 2:54pm.

"The service affected was the 1:45pm Littlehampton to London Victoria service.

"The service resumed at 3:27pm. There were no injuries but there may have been damage caused to the train."

* Two teens have been arrested in connection with the incident.
