ABOUT 200 Harveys devotees welcomed in the winter's new brew on Saturday.
The Harveys Hop is a popular event which has run for 18 years.

The day began with a Thanksgiving Service at St Thomas a Beckett Church, adorned with freshly harvested hops and barley, and featured traditional songs from the West Gallery Choir.

After the service the congregation made its way to Harveys yard to enjoy morris dancing. Harveys head brewer Miles Jenner said guests polished off around 1,000 glasses of ale in less than an hour!
