A FORD Escort van crashed into a railway bridge causing delays to rush-hour trains.
The accident happened at 7.45am between Falmer and Moulsecoombe stations today (Monday).

Train drivers were given a slower speed for an hour causing delays of up 15 minutes.

A spokesman for Southern which operates the services affected said: 'We were back to full line speed at 8.45am. Whenever these things happen we have to err on the side of caution.'
