AN East Sussex author has written a book about Dr Who star David Tennant.
Nigel Goodall, 58, from High Street, Westham, is a film and music journalist, who has gained a reputation for writing celebrity biographies.

Last Christmas he began writing a biography about actor David Tennant, called A life in Time and Space.
Now the book is about to hit the shelves in bookshops across Britain.

David Tennant's agent did not want the star to get involved with the publication.

So Nigel Goodall used different resources to find information about the famous actor.
He said: 'I hope David and his agent will be pleased with the book.

'I think he is very charismatic as an actor.

'When he took over as Dr Who he brought new life to the role.

'I used to watch Dr Who over the years.

'When I first saw it in 1963 it was completely out of this world, particularly when the Daleks turned up.'

The book charts the life, career and achievements of the 37-year-old Scottish actor.

The TV and film star is currently playing Hamlet for the Royal Shakespeare company.

Mr Goodall wrote the best-selling book, Kylie Naked.

He was also involved with a Cliff Richard CD box set, celebrating the pop singer's 50th year in the music industry.

Mr Goodall told the Express Kylie and Cliff were 'my two favourite persons I have ever met.'

He said: 'Kylie was absolutely delightful.

'She is very tiny and she has a down-to-earth character.

'When she got changed into jeans and jumper after her show she looked like the girl down the road.

'Kylie has that kind of charisma about her.

'When she talks it is like you have known her for years.'

Mr Goodall was equally enthusiastic about the charms of pop legend Cliff Richard.

He said: 'He is very, very nice and everything you expect Cliff to be.

'He makes you feel very comfortable and when you talk to him it is like two friends catching up.'

Mr Goodall said he was 'intrigued with celebrities and what makes them tick.'

His next project is updating a Ray Winstone biography he wrote in 2007.
