Young archaeologists get digging

YOUNG archaeologists from the Lewes area had the chance to get involved in an important dig in Barcombe.
Archaeologists from the University of Sussex have discovered the remains of a Roman villa near to St Mary's Church and a group of children, together with Sussex Archaeological Society, were invited to take part in the excavation.

They also cleaned and sorted earlier finds and learned about the history of the church.
