A Midsummer Strings, Pimms and Things evening at Tillington church raised £1,000 for restoration funds last Saturday.
More than 100 people gathered in All Hallows Church and grounds to enjoy music courtesy of the Nagata string quartet, appearing by permission of the Guildhall School of Music, playing Haydn, Beethoven and Schubert.
Refreshing glasses of Pimms and
a selection of canapés were served during the interval, while guests mingled, enjoyed the views to the downs and listened to Sarah Dyble on the harp.
