A former Army chaplain is to be priest-in-charge at Tillington and Duncton.
He is the Rev Robert Mitchell (56), who is married with three sons and a grandson.

Mr Mitchell's rank as chaplain in the Army, from which he has just retired, reached the equivalent of lieutenant colonel.

He and his wife, Jill, will be moving i
nto the rectory at Tillington at the end of this month and he will be licensed on September 4.

The Rev Bob Staveley-Wadham, whom he succeeds, is continuing as priest-in-charge at Upwaltham, which was previously linked with the two other parishes.
