FITNESS expert Jo Warburton doesn't pull her punches – in fact, she enjoys throwing them.

Jo is bringing a new dimension to life in Balcombe by starting a kick boxing club for women who want to learn the self-defence martial art.

Jo said: "I trained in Brighton for 10 years where the sport is easily accessible, but moving to the Mid Sussex area proved more difficult to find a club so I decided to start one in my own village."

Communications manager Jo, 39, gained her black belt in December 2007, then trained to teach the sport, often shadowing European world flyweight champion Tiffany Williams at Kicks Martial Arts Centre in Brighton.

Sessions take place at 7.30pm on Monday evenings at the Parish rooms in Stockcroft Road, Balcombe.

Call Jo on 07590 819012.
