AFTER the huge success of its Big Garden BirdWatch at the start of the year, the RSPB is asking people in West Sussex to take part in its summer survey, Make Your Nature Count, which runs from the June 2-10.

THE rain has certainly come at the right time for us here at Arundel Castle; we have managed to collect many tanks of water from the glass house roofs and other buildings.

BY THE time we reach May I suddenly become aware we’re in the middle of a nature frenzy. The bird breeding season is in full swing, migrants are returning from their winter holidays, and pond wildlife is growing fast.
