Lions help save sight

Burgess Hill District Lions held a charity curry night at the award winning Shapla Tandoori Restaurant in Burgess Hill in aid of Sightsavers.

Lion President John Gee presided over the gathering of 36 people who enjoyed a excellent three course meal and with a raffle it raised £259. The owner Mr Hussain gave a donation of £50 and finally the Lions topped it up to a round £500 that will be donated to Sightsavers who the Lions say do such a excellent job. It was held on World Sight Day.
