One year ago I moved to Burgess Hill from West Kent, so that I could live nearer my daughter.

I was a little apprehensive about being in a new area, but I needn’t have worried! Burgess Hill is a lovely place to live for lots of reasons. Here are just a few:

- All the tradespeople who have fixed things in my house have been courteous, friendly and efficient.

- The town centre has a variety of shops and parking is cheap with plenty of spaces.

-The residents and shop people are friendly and helpful, and they smile!

-The town and open spaces, roundabouts and parks are clean and well cared for.

-The countryside and country parks are beautiful and my dog and I enjoy our walks.

-Driving through the town is stress-free due to the well- placed roundabouts which are much safer than road junctions.

-The South Downs and the coast are near with new places to explore.

-The refuse collection system works well.

-There are a good number of clubs, organisations and activities to cater for a variety of interests.

It is a pleasure living here and I am one happy resident!
