WATER - More reservoirs are needed
In the fracking debate (letters November 15) Kathleen Dumbovic stated that we are in dire need of water to supply thousands of new homes.
Seventy per cent of our water does come from aquifers and the rest from reservoirs.
With the European Union fa vouring more expensive water as a means of reducing consumption, a reluctance to build new reservoirs, we in the South East will forever be short of water.
What we urgently need is more water storage capacity in the form of new reservoirs which should have been provided thirty years ago.
