Euphoric dance group star at charity show

Henfield-based jazz and dance band RetrOactive kicked off a charity tour of Sussex with a packed house at Hove Centre.
The cocktail and dance-themed night raised nearly £2,000 for the Rocking Horse Appeal, the Brighton children's charity.

Crawley's Euphoric Dance Company, featuring 35 youngsters aged between eight and 16, performed an opening dance routine and the band was joined by compere Matt Collison of Bright FM Radio.

Band manager Jo Simmons said: "It was a fantastic evening and it was great to see youngsters dancing to help raise money for a children's charity. It seemed so appropriate."

Future dates are February 16: Henfield Hall (in aid of HART), March 8: The Martlets Hall, Burgess Hill (raffle in aid of St Peter and St James Hospice), April 5: The Civic Centre, Uckfield (raffle in aid of St Peter and St James Hospice), May 3: The Assembly Rooms, Eastbourne (Raffle in aid of St Wilfrid's Hospice), September 6: Clair Hall, Haywards Heath (raffle for a local hospice), November 1: Thomas Beecham Club, Worthing (in aid of St Barnabas Hospice), November 15: Lewes Town Hall, Lewes (raffle for a local hospice)
