ALICE will be slipping through the looking glass for more much-loved colourful adventures this month (October) at Wesley Hall.

The Perrymount Players are staging The Wonders of Alice in authentic Lewis Carroll style with set design by local artist Max Gorham.

Audiences will be transported into this magical world to face the wrath of The Queen of Hearts, The Antics of Tweedledum and Tweedledee, and the ravings of the Mad Hatter with Alice.

Isobel Holloway, who wrote the script especially for this production, said: "There are a total of 19 cast members and over 45 character parts – and therefore costumes."

Perrymount Players have an adult and junior section and last year jointly staged Oliver Twist.

Performances are at Wesley Hall, Haywards Heath, on October 16, 17 and 18 at 7.30pm, with a matinee on October 18 at 2.30pm.

Tickets are £6 and £4 from the box office on 01444 414502.
