Mr. Jaran Suwandee (Paul), the manager, is really welcoming to everyone that eats there. All the staff are Thai, the food is fresh and exceptionally tasty. Try his monk fish dish, worth visiting just for that. Reasonably priced, and very flexible (I like my food spicy and they always add an extra bite to it when I ask). Can also cater for larger parties (he actually did my wedding a few years ago). Really recommend it. Check out his website

Good Evening is a Thai restaurant in one half of the White Harte Inn in Cuckfield. It has about 8 tables for eat in and does take away too. The first time I ordered take away from here I wasn't expecting too much. This place doesn't really advertise itself and being in an old traditional pub I didn't know how authentic the food would be. Wow, we had the stir-fry chilli and basil with chicken and the massaman curry with beef. They were both fantastic, fresh ingredients, great use of herbs and spices. The kitchen staff are all Thai and they obviously take some pride in their cooking. It was upsetting to see this place empty at 8pm on a Saturday night. The quality of the food deserves customers, and hopefully by word of mouth their friends and families. They cost was reasonable, stir-fry £6.25, curry £6.50, rice £2.25. It was also nice to have some crackers in the bag too when I got home.
