FAMILY of a Horsham man killed in April in an accident with a car have completed a marathon bike ride in his memory.
Sarah Dowdeswell and her husband Chris cycled 207 miles to Paris in memory of Mrs Dowdeswell's brother Simon Holloway.
He died after he was in an accident with a car while walking in Dorking town centre.
The couple, from Witley in Surrey, are raising money for the Surrey Air Ambulance, whose staff fought along with other emergency services for nearly an hour to save Mr Holloway's life following the road accident in Dorking on April 17.
Mr Holloway, 54, an editor for Sky Sports News, lived in Cripplegate Lane, Southwater.
Until six months before the accident he had been living in Shelleys Court, Horsham, but had moved to live with and support his mother Jill.
On August 13, four months after the tragic accident, Mr and Mrs Dowdeswell embarked on the four-day bike ride from Dunsfold Park, the home of the Surrey Air Ambulance.
