HUNDREDS of Lewesians turned out in force for the town's annual carnival.
A noisy and vibrant parade made its way down Lewes High Street featuring some fantastic costumes in the style of DIsney characters.

Following the parade Malling Playing Fields quickly became the place to be, with a fun-fair, a wide variety of stalls, live bands and the perennial Lewes festival favourite - the Harvey's beer bus.

Organisers of the event, the Rotary Club of Lewes Castle, are stilling counting the money raised and hope to exceed the £6,000 collected last year.

*Check your carnival programme for a bonus £100 prize. The lucky programme number is 1763.*
