Dark Star brewery hoping to throw light
Dark Star, which started life in Ansty, has launched The Dark Star Foundation to help good causes. The brewery will be raising funds through the sale of certain lines in the brewery shop, including a Dark Star Foundation T Shirt, as well as from donations from those on brewery tours, which will be offered free to encourage giving.
The team at Dark Star, which has now moved to bigger premises in Partridge Green, will also stage a series of fundraising events including ‘Spin Up in a Brewery’ – a cycling event in May; HopFest, a three-day beer and music event in September; plus other events to be announced. The foundation will work in three areas: give funds to pubs to help their fundraising efforts; provide seed funding for entrepreneurs; give funds to charities.
