High Beeches Woodland and Water Garden won the Cup for ‘best in show’ in the Early Rhododendron Competition at RHS Wisley last weekend with a spray of the rare Rhododendron primuliflorum.

The Handcross garden was also awarded the John Fox Rhododendron Plate as they gained the most points of any south east member.

It competed in 18 classes, winning four.

The show was highly competitive with gardens from all over the south of England taking part, among them Exbury, the Savill Gardens and Borde Hill.

High Beeches is open to the public every day except Wednesdays from 1pm-5pm.
