Sinatra, Sequins & Swing offer The Capitol Years Live at Chequer Mead Arts Centre, East Grinstead, tonight (Thursday, October 25).

Show producer Avril Fitzsimmons said: “Supported by an all-star eight-piece swing band led by Ronnie Scott’s orchestra director Pete Long, the concert is hosted by respected big band jazz singer Kevin Fitzsimmons and features world-class retro jazz starlet Kitty La Roar.

“Kitty provides a visual Hollywood screen siren, Marilyn Monroe look, with a real talented sultry voice, proven when she sings hits such as Ella Fitzgerald’s Too Darn Hot and Peggy Lee’s Fever and more. Audiences can also expect to hear unique, highly-talented vocals and musical arrangements of Frank Sinatra’s classic songs such as World on a String, Something’s Gotta Give and several duets by Kevin & Kitty, paying homage to a special musical era.

“The show is a key event for any fan of ’50s Hollywood and Big Band Swing. And if you like the ’60s Rat Pack years – you’ll love this sensational Capitol Years production.

“The Frank Sinatra Capitol Years spanned from 1953 to 1960, shortly after Frank’s Oscar-winning performance for the classic movie From Here to Eternity. This era was a heyday of Hollywood screen goddesses & Big Band swing. And so Kevin, Kitty and Pete Long deliver a high-end, humorous, stylish concert-style performance unlike the big band shows or tribute re-enactments. They focus on giving theatregoers a real taste and visual experience backed by real talent in celebrating Frank Sinatra.

Tickets on 01342 302000.
