Free party for store’s fundraising launch

A free community party is being held in Haywards Heath to launch a £15,000 fundraising campaign for three local charities.

Organised by The Southern Co-operative store in South Road it will take place on Saturday, at Haywards Heath Baptist Church, Sussex Road, from 11am-2pm.

As part of the store’s Community Support Card initiative three charities have been chosen to receive £5,000 each. These are The Sussex Snowdrop Trust, Age UK West Sussex and Haywards Heath Food Bank. Money is raised by people using their Community Support Card in store.

Stuart Brooks, the Southern Co-operative retail business manager, said: “We want as many local residents to come along with friends and family to our community party to launch this year’s fundraising campaign.”

On the day there will be a range of activities on offer.
