Sally, from Hurst Green in East Sussex, suffered a brain haemorrhage six years ago and underwent a six-hour operation to insert a titanium clip to close off the leaking blood vessel. Brian Gubbin was back with a smile and a handshake later in the day when another patient, Sharon Foley, handed over a cheque for £2,560.
Sharon from Ashurst Wood underwent life-saving surgery for a brain tumour and held a sponsored silence for the hospital.
