A TRAINEE vet was forced into railings by a cow at a farm in Lindfield earlier this morning.

It is believed the vet, who was visiting Hill House Farm in Ardingly Road, suffered injuries to her ribs.

Firefighters were called to the scene along with paramedics who took the patient to hospital.

Ian Walker, crew commander of Haywards Heath Fire Station, said: "The woman was trapped by the cow but when we arrived she was free and seemed okay. We helped her to the ambulance and she was taken to hospital."
