A YOUNG woman is hoping signs at woodland will help trace a missing bird.

Andrea Simpkins, 24, is appealing for help in tracing Bruno, a tame green and yellow budgie.

The bird flew out of a window at the home she shares with partner Andrews Collins, 24, near Rocky Lane, Haywards Heath and into nearby Bedelands Nature Reserve two weeks ago.

Bruno has been the family pet for five years and Andrea said: "At one time we did actually find him at the top of a tree in the nature reserve. We spent two hours trying to get him down.

"We even tried taking over the other bird Zooter to try and get him down but that didn't work either. We have had him for five years and if someone comes across him I'd be grateful if they could contact me."
Andrea can be contacted on 07707121358.
