A VILLAGE is counting the cost of yet more vandalism after yobs left a trail of damage to cars.

Police are now planning a concerted effort to catch those responsible for the on-going problems in Balcombe.

And they are appealing for residents to come forward with information that could help them collar the culprits.

The latest incidents happened on Saturday night (July 26) in Stockcroft Road where at least eight vehicles had tyres slashed or let down. In one case three cars belonging to the same family were damaged.

They followed an incident a fortnight earlier when a tyre was slashed with a sharp implement in a driveway in neighbouring Deanland Road and a week later the windows and headlights on a Mini were smashed in Mill Lane and a car parked in Newlands careering down a hill into a house after its handbrake was released.
