A record number of gymnasts from Hurstpierpoint Gymnastics Club competed in this year's Arts Competition.
The competition saw 85 gymnasts performing more than 100 routines as they competed for 15 trophies at Hurstpierpoint Village Centre.

This year's competitions featured Hoop Pairs and Beam Pairs, the Ribbon Solos, and culminated in the popular Acrobatic Sixes.

In the Beam Pairs, Year 3 was won by Rhiannon Jones and Robyn Jenkins from Albourne, Year 4 by Ellie Davies and Jade Burch from Ditchling, Year 5 by Abbie Hemmings and Olivia Bakewell, and Year 6 by Emma Gilbert and Ella Gough from Hurstpierpoint.

One of the three new trophies was dedicated to Helen Grainger, an ex-gymnast who died of cancer last year.

One of Helen's favourite pieces had been the beam and Helen's mother was proud to present the trophy for the winning Senior Beam Pair to Georgina Harrison and Helena Spencer.
