The rain on Saturday meant that no first team game in the Sussex Cricket League was completed and few continued for more than a few overs.
But local clubs were prominent in the handful of fixtures that defied the weather and Lindfield made up ground on local rivals Ansty in Division 3 East by winning a 20/20 match at Hellingly.
The hosts were restricted to 116-9, Steve Hook hitting 44
, and then Lindfield won by eight wickets as Matthew Wilson-Yelverton plundered 65 not out.
Amazingly, they also got in a 2nd XI 20/20 match at Ditchling, where Cuckfield defeated St James's Montefiore.
Cuckfield posted a useful total of 187-4 as Tommy Watson hit 61 and in reply the hosts mustered only 123-7 despite an undefeated 56 from James Howard.
They did get in a 2nd XI game at Sidley where the home side made 132-9 declared against Stirlands as Will Gubbin grabbed 5-53. The visitors then cruised home by seven wickets, with Nick Gubbin making 56 not out.
The only other completed match came as Glynde II managed a win in the East Division. They bowled out Crawley for 102 as Lee Atkinson took 4-47 and duly completed an eight-wicket win that extended their lead at the top of the table. Archie Burrows struck an unbeaten 54.
As a result of the inactivity in the Premier Division, Hastings continue to head the table but Preston Nomads and Eastbourne have games in hand.
Hastings had made 112-0 against Eastbourne before play was halted at Horntye Park. James Beeny and Toby Finzel were each still there on 54.
Division 2 leaders Lewes Priory have an eight-point lead over Littlehampton but Roffey, Bexhill and Haywards Heath all still have a chance of promotion with four games still to play.
In regional Division 3, Middleton and Glynde head West and East respectively and look almost certain of promotion.
Middleton's chances will have been further boosted by them not having a game scheduled on Saturday, while Glynde had Crawley 49-1 when the match was abandoned.
