THE lady bowlers of St Francis BC made it three wins out of three at the women's county finals day at the Haywards Heath & and Beech Hurst Club.
The first success came in the two-wood championship where Amy Truran had a comfortable 16-7 win after 17 ends against Brenda Mockett of the Norfolk Club.
Meanwhile, Marge Breading was contesting the semi-final of the unbadged four-wood singles and after beating M Phillips of Bognor Regis 21-13 in the semi final, the Mid Sussex bowler then produced an amazing 21-0 victory over the hapless D Hemmings of Seaford Crouch.
It was a reorganised Saints fours who then took on the experienced Field Place quartet skipped by former England international Wendy Davies.
Breading played lead, Dorothy Glasby two, substitute Dee Feeny three and Truran skip.
The team gelled well and were always ahead although only a single shot separated the teams at the start of the last end.
The Saints quartet, though, kept their nerve in front of a sizeable crowd and took two to complete a 19-16 victory and end a successful day for the club.
