The latest round of the West Sussex Fun Run League was the Highdown Hike, held on the chalk downs to the west of Worthing over a hilly two-lap circuit covering approximately four miles in all.
The race was a major triumph for Haywards Heath Harriers' Rawbin brothers as Matthew scored an emphatic victory in a time of 23.47, with Anthony third in 24.33. These excellent results again highlighted the potential of these talented young athletes.

Andy Biggs was next home in 29.17, ahead of first Harrier lady, and well up among the leading ladies overall, Margaret Hollamby in 30.21.
In the last round of the Under 13 League at Worthing there was a good performance from the girls as they finished third. Although a depleted boys section meant the team finished fourth overall, they ended the season in third place.
That puts them in the A final on Sunday September 6 at Crawley K2, where the leading three teams from both the east and west of the county meet in the grand final.
This is the first time for a number of years that Harriers have qualified for the A final and it was particularly heartening to see excellent first places for Abi Hosier, Ellie Radcliffe, Shannon Bowles and Jade Megatli. There were also good second place points for Hosier and Radcliffe, along with Lana Shaw, Lara Curtis, Alex Ferguson and Nicholas Rawbin.
