Cuckfield's outstanding young under-11 team won a nail-biting Sussex Junior Cricket Festival Bowl final against a strong Eastbourne team on Sunday with two balls to spare.
They had qualified for the final by winning all five of their group matches convincingly during the week, and despite missing key players on holiday they turned in a great performance in the final.
There was some tight bowling and fielding, while an assured 51 not out from Alex Cooke steered them home and enabled them to retain the trophy they won last season.
