CHINESE lanterns should be banned, according to our online poll.
We asked readers whether these lanterns should be banned, following complaints by local famers that they are a danger.

Sixty-nine per cent of you voted for the ban option, while 25 per cent reckoned there shouldn't be a ban. The remaining six per cent weren't bothered either way.

Take part in our current online vote, asking whether there is enough for young people to do in the Mid Sussex area.

Just in response to your Poll on Banning Sky lanterns. Online retailer www.skylanternsonline.co.uk have recently released the first ever Eco Friendly Sky Lanterns which are 100% Metal Free and fully Bio-degradable, therefore reducing the risk of any harm to animals. Surely this is the way forward, finding ways to solve environmental issues rather than just banning!?
