Laura Ashley has opened a store in South Road, Haywards Heath.
The shop has opened in a prime location on the roundabout between South Road and Franklynn Road.

The major retailer already has established branches in Crawley, Brighton and Lewes and hopes the Haywards Heath store will be equally successful.

Lucy Wells, who is a regional mobile manager, currently managing the store, said: "With the fashion, I think our customers are becoming younger and the homeware is a lot more contemporary."

The shop floor is colourful and artistic, with modern design. It is spacious and open plan, welcoming to the customer.

Lucy added: "We all aim to have a similar style store wherever we open. As we have quite a large store here, we are able to stock both home and fashion products."

Nine staff are currently running the shop and the majority are new to the company.

The feedback has so far been good and customers appear happy that they have the store on their doorstep.

"People are just over the moon that we have come here," said Lucy.
