Acting students are celebrating after achieving 100% success rate in their LAMDA (The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) results.

Pupils, aged six to 16, at JK Theatre Arts, in Burgess Hill, gained distinctions and high merits in their latest LAMDA exams - the largest statutory speech and drama awarding body in the UK.

The school teaches students from Ardingly Prep School, St Paul’s Catholic College, Oathall Community College and Southway Junior School.

Pupils took examinations in acting, devising, and verse and prose in June this year.

These exams have been created to allow students to use a range of different qualifications and gain recognised UCAS tariff points which go towards university entry requirements.

Kim Wright, Director of JK Theatre Arts, said, “I am absolutely delighted with another set of superb results which are well deserved after the hard work put in by the pupils. Smiles all round!”
