One lucky teenager got the thrill of a lifetime and flew on a plane for the first time thanks to his school and the Chichester Lions Club.
Jack Court (14), a pupil with special needs, was nominated by teachers at St Anthony's School to fly out to Tenerife for two weeks with his mum Laura.

Chichester Lions Club paid for the air travel and provided Jack with some spending money.

"It was exciting, I like the way the plane turned in the air," said Jack.

"We saw some dolphins and went on a special boat, a catamaran. It was good. We did lots of activities out there such as going to the water park and jungle park. There were all different kinds of birds which was exciting."

Tenerife Sur Lions organised and paid for Jack and his mum's accommodation.

The school chose a pupil last year to go on holiday, which again was supported by the Chichester Lions Club.

Laura said: "It was amazing, the trips were brilliant. I can't explain it.

"We could not have done it without the Lions clubs or the school. Jack normally doesn't say a lot but he really enjoyed it.

"He's never flown before and he was OK with it all."
