THE decision to allow a telephone mast on the edge of the Chichester Festival Theatre car park has been deferred for further negotiations with the developer.
Councillors on Chichester District Council's development control committee felt having an extra 15 metre mast in the area would be one too many, with various other masts already on the horizon.

The decision was deferred to discuss the idea with the telephone operator, O2.

Planning officers had recommended the plan be permitted.
