A WOMAN was robbed as she got into her car in a multi-storey car park in Chichester.

The victim was in the car park near Waitrose when she was approached by a man who demanded cash.

The thief then ran out of the car park and along Avenue De Chartres.
It is thought he then escaped along South Street heading towards The Cross.

Detectives are investigating the incident that happened at 6.50pm on Wednesday (July 16) and have released a description of the man they want to trace.

He is described as white with short mousy hair. He was wearing a dark-coloured t-shirt, dark blue or black jogging bottoms and white trainers.

Anyone with any information is asked to Contact Detective Constable Mark Burgess at Chichester CID on 0845 60 70 999 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
