Rawson Hall - volunteers receive MSDC community service awards. At the garden party presentation of these awards, David Robins and Helen Mullany, who were heavily involved in the provision of the new hall, had their efforts recognised. Much hard work had gone into the planning, fundraising and construction of this excellent facility and Bolney Parish Council, nominated them for the award.
The hall has been open for only a few months and is already making a difference to the community, It replaces the Sports Pavilion which had fallen into disrepair and now supports the Community Cafe, the Bolney Under 5’s Nursery, dance classes, pilates classes, circuit training, zumba sessions and is a meeting place for all the village societies, groups and classes. It is also an excellent venue for weddings, parties, christenings and wakes.
The WSCC mobile library will be calling at Drovers, Paynesfield, The Street, on Fridays October 2, 16 and 30, between 9.30am - 10.15am. All welcome to use this facility.
The Community Cafe at the Rawson Hall on Batchelors Field is open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays beteen 10am - 4.30pm As from Monday October 5 there will be a special feature Monday Munchies, 2 course lunch for £5.00 from 12 noon.
