A vehicle marshall working in Bolnore Village was injured after being knocked down by a van.

The accident happened at Renfields at 3.18pm on January 21.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said the man sustained minor injuries and was taken to the Princess Royal Hospital.

The accident comes after members of Bolnore Residents’ Association campaigned to keep the area safe and stop traffic parking on the pavements.

A spokesperson for Crest Nicholson South confirmed that one of its vehicle marshals sustained minor injuries in an incident involving a ‘van being driven by a third party contractor working at a private residence in an area of the site which is already occupied’.

She said: “The health and safety of our team members is of the utmost importance to us and we are completing an investigation into the incident with the co-operation of all relevant parties.”
