The Bentswood Community Partnership (BCP) will host a Fun Day next Thursday (August 13) from midday until 4pm.

The event, on Barn Cottage Green, will include plenty of shows and activities including the bike-ridden smoothie making machine.

There will be a climbing wall, bouncy castles, birds of prey, face painting and lots more free fun for all the family as well as rides and raffles.

Children will also be able to learn circus skills.

The BCP was set up to support the needs and aspirations of Bentswood residents and bring the community together, but the Day is open to everyone who just wants to have a lot of fun – and eat ice-cream to their heart’s content.

Chairman Stephen Hillier said: “We’ll have lots of advice and support there for anyone in our community but the Fun Day is also for making new friends, meeting your neighbours and chatting about future plans to improve Bentswood and the lives of all of us who live here.

“We’d also like to warmly thank the organisations who have so generously supported the event, including Haywards Heath Rotary, Santander, Co-Operative Funerals, Affinity Sutton, the Town Council, the Bell Group, Mears Group plc and It’s Magic.

“And, of course, the many businesses and friends who have donated raffle prizes; we’re so lucky to have such fantastic people being part of our community.”
