A boy from Lindfield has set himself a golfing challenge for Cancer Research after losing both his grandparents to the disease.

On February 6 Sam Grant aims to complete a nine hole game at Cuckfield Golf Centre in less than 60 minutes - a stretch which would normally take a couple of hours.

He will be aided around the 2,647 yard course by his golf pros Neil Plimmer and Neville Perryman Best, who run the Jolf (junior golf) at Cuckfield Golf Centre.

Sam has been playing for just over two years and wanted to do something to help raise money and awareness for this worthwhile charity.

He decided to raise money for Cancer Research having lost both his grandparents to the disease a few years ago.

He hopes to raise at least £500.”
