Firm helps Brighton & Hove Albion project

One of the driving forces behind using football to improve the lives of young people is a firm from the heart of Mid Sussex.

Bosses at the firm Demo in the small village of Scaynes Hill, near Haywards Heath were so impressed by Brighton and Hove Albion's work in the community that they agreed to support the Football Inclusion Project.

The firm's involvement is an extremely practical one that helps the project workers cover the ground across Sussex. As a vehicle management company it supplies a number of vehicles to key staff who are running the various activities throughout the county, ensuring they have the mobility to reach the various sites.

The firm says that as well as promoting the game of football as a healthy recreation to young people and adults, the project also delivers drugs awareness education through trained staff, fire and road safety awareness and the ground-breaking Coaching for Hope initiative, which delivers HIV education in west Africa.

Mike Whittam, managing director of Demo, said: "Supporting Brighton & Hove Albion's Football Inclusion Project is immensely rewarding. The commitment of the coaching and management staff to providing young people in Sussex with such a variety of worthwhile opportunities is extremely important to the community and we look forward to our continued involvement."

Demo provides vehicle management to businesses throughout London and the South East from its base at The Courtyard, Springfield Farm, Scaynes Hill.
