Firm helps businesses go green

West Sussex is 'going green' thanks to a Haywards Heath plumbing and heating merchant.

Plumbing Trade Supplies (PTS) in Western Road have seen recent success after supplying to a number of energy efficient projects in residents' homes.

PTS teamed up with Surrey-based ISO Energy last year to supply NIBE ground-source heat pumps to the company.

The pumps have since been used across West Sussex in large homes and have been sent to architects and housing developers for public buildings such as schools and offices.

Roland Gibson, renewable energy contracts co-ordinator for PTS, said: "Our success in providing renewable energy products is based on the high uptake in the West Sussex area. This demand shows that the region is ahead in this new technology and as such we are looking forward to another successful year."

Justin Broadbent at ISO Energy added: "The demand for heat pumps is currently rising by 100 per cent each year with new legislation meaning it is now commonly featured in new build schemes and in the redevelopment of public facilities such as schools.

"There are currently lots of projects going on in the area and we have found an ideal partnership with NIBE and PTS."
